All the Office Your Condo Will Ever Need
Believe it or not there are several options you can use to create a home office without a lot of pain or effort. Do you want an office but don’t want to dedicate an entire room or the better part of a room to office stuff and clutter? If you have been seeking a solution, here are two ideas for achieving a home office with a minimum of effort. What’s more useable than an office? A computer armoire, is an office with lots of space that looks neat and requires no putting away...simply close the doors. A computer armorie provides a great solution for providing a computer office that will accommodate an incredible amount of computer parafelnia while still looking good.
I have been happily using a computer armoire for over three years. It has been wonderful, not only because it provides so much storage for our computer equipment (two computers, two monitors, keyboards, a printer and a host of other equipment), but it does not require “picking up” you simply close the door and it looks nice. The other features to be appreciated are the large amount of storage it provides. A range of options exist for purchasing computer armoires. They come in all sizes, shapes and styles. Furniture stores have them but usually you will pay well over a $1,500 for a pine plywood or press board with a veneer finish. Unfinished wood furniture stores on the other hand, can provide quality, sturdy wood furniture in many models and sizes. Some are very reasonably priced and the stores are willing to do the finishing for you in a choice of finishes for a reasonable cost. One such unfinished furniture store I recently found is Knock on Wood on US 1 down in Woodbridge. They have a extremely large selection of most anything as well as catalogs.
The second option is using an existing closet. A two bedroom unit owner did just that. He took the long sliding door closet in the second bedroom and by simply installing a table shelf converted the closet space into a computer office for himself. When this owner closes the sliding mirror closet doors his office space was concealed and the room was still usable for other functions. Both of these options are easy to accomplish and provide a good outcome for a reasonable investment. The best part of either solution is not having to clean things up to make it look nice, simply close the doors!
